Madeleine McCann’s Parents To Make Private Trip To Praia Da Luz
MADDIE WATCH – Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann, Kate McCann and Gerry McCann – The Spanish news agency reports that Kate McCann and Gerry McCann could return to Praia da Luz before the end of the year.
The parents of the girl Madeleine McCann, Gerry and Kate, could return on a private visit to the Portuguese town of Praia da Luz, where their daughter disappeared before the end of the year.
Says Gerry McCann:
“Kate was like to return to Praia da Luz when things are less intense, but we would like it to be a private visit, probably before year-end.”
Telling the press might not be the best way to secure privacy. But, then, if the parents don’t tell the press they will have missed a chance to keep their daughter in the news?
By way of irony:
Mr McCann has been involved in the international conference of lawyers held at the Palacio Municipal de Congresos in Madrid, as a speaker on a panel on media and the right to privacy and reputation.
It’s the big debate. And one that looks all the more interesting in light of the hunt for that Victoria Beckham look-alike, in which names were named and, allegedly, lives and reputations hurt.
“Millionaire socialite ‘devastated’ as her £3m superyacht is linked to hunt for Madeleine McCann – Her brother Wayne McGrath told the People newspaper: ‘I have spoken to my sister and she is absolutely devastated. She doesn’t know anything about this.’
The parents are innocent. There are no suspects. Madeleine McCann is missing.
