Win Tickets For Miley Cyrus Haiti Film, Joe McElderry Goes Free
HAITI is a huge deal for popstars. You can look at the worst Charity singles here. And know that Miley Cyrus tells us: “Ever since the earthquake, I’ve been trying to do my part to help the people of Haiti – and I wanted to do more.”
Whaddayado, Miley?
Well, fans can bid to buy Miley’s Herve Leger dress the singer wore to the Grammy Awards, two tickets to the Hollywood premiere of her upcoming film, The Last Song, Nicole Richie’s jewelry from her House of Harlow line and a Britney Spears mini dress. And Miley’s big sister, Brandi, will “perform with her band Frank & Derol at Harmonies for Haiti, a charity concert organized by Disney Channel star Chelsea Staub, on Feb. 11 at the House of Blues in West Hollywood.”
Any Haitians who can make it, can enter too. (Travel arrangements and lodgings not included.)
As they say:
I don’t mean to sound bitter. I just am. All a celebrity has to do to look like they’re doing shitloads is to drop off clothes they probably didn’t even pay for, as long as their name’s attached – whereas if we put in the amount of effort they’re doing as of right now – we’d probably be handing in used bobby pins, friendship bracelets or nail clippers or something …
Here’s X Factor winner Joe McElderry buying his Simon Cowell Says song for Haiti. The grandstanding is not important so long as the cash reaches the needy, right. Only, if the needy can help to promote a few stars, then at last someone wins from so much death and destruction. Although no Haitian singers and musos – sorry, maybe next time…
