Daily Star Plugs Channel Five Reality Show As Front-Page News
IT would always take something big to knock Katie Price and Kerry Katona off the front page of the Star and that something is here. And it is gargantuan. It’s the Chawner family, the fattest family in tabloids.
Says the front-page headline:
“LARDY SCROUNGERS GET EVEN FATTER.”
News is that:
The defiant Chawner clan have piled on more weight after flunking a fat-fighting telly show.
The Chawners have dug their heels in. Either that or else they are sinking into the wooden floor on Lorraine Kelly’s Big Challenge, a TV show in which the fat are brought down to size – literally – by a faux folksy TV presenter with a heart of gold and a nice line in pity.
It turns out that, as a unit, the Chawners have piled on another four stone. TV really does add weight.
Says Lorraine:
“It’s all so disappointing. The Chawners seem to have forgotten, or have ignored, all the good advice they’ve been given about diet and exercise.”
Look at them happily eating biscuits and watching crappy shows on the magic box. How can they look so happy when the rest of us feel compelled to exercise and ration our treats until we’re at death’s door. Lorraine, give us guidance:
“There aren’t any excuses. It’s time to get tough because I’m determined to get them off the sofa.”
Good old Lorraine’s going to have another go and shaving of the Chawner blubber. And the better news is that you can watch Lorraine try it for a second time on Lorraine Kelly’s Next Big Fat Challenge starts on the Bio Channel at 8pm on August 24.
The what-o channel? Never fear because:
The original series is repeated on Channel Five from Monday, August 16.
That’s Richard Desmond’s Channel 5. He’s the guy who owns the Daily Star.
Look out for lots more front-page news on channel Five shows forever…
