Wikileaks: The Hypocritical New York Times Published The Cables Because They Fitted Its Agenda
WANT to know why the New York Times published the Wikileaks leaked cables and never published the ClimateGate emails? (Don’t forget to readJulian Assange’s selected gazings and bon mots.)
The documents appear to have been acquired illegally and contain all manner of private information and statements that were never intended for the public eye, so they won’t be posted here.
The New York Times explains:
The Times believes that the documents serve an important public interest, illuminating the goals, successes, compromises and frustrations of American diplomacy in a way that other accounts cannot match.
CNN never published the cables, declining Wikileaks’s demand of signing a confidentiality agreement before doing so. Yep, really. the champion of freedom will not be transparent. If anyone can get their hands on this agreement, please leak it to us. And does getting the cables also invite a donation to the Wikileaks fund?
