Andrew Marr: Face Of An Incestuous Establishment Media Who Fellate The Elite
BBC presenter Andrew Marr is now “embarrassed” about gagging the press. Marr was not keen for us to know that he had been shagging a Times Journalist whilst still married to a Guardian journalist. Marr thought he had fathered a child by the other woman. He wanted the child protected. The law agreed. The story was gagged.
Marr, who makes his living as a journalist speaking truth to power and interviewing the elite, suppressed the truth with a super injunction. That was 2008. Now in 2011, he says:
“I did not come into journalism to go around gagging journalists.”
No. But when you become a member of the established elite, you move away from the people. You are cozy with power. You are one of them.
But now he knows the child is not Marr’s, the truth can come out. The kid can be tossed to the pigs on Fleet Street.
The other woman Marr was shagging may care to take out her own super injunction about her name being linked to this monumental hypocrite. We feel for this woman and wonder if her name can be kept out of the media? Who wants to go through life known as Andrew Marr’s extra-curricular shag?
Says Marr:
“I also had my own family to think about, and I believed this story was nobody else’s business.”
Like Bill Clinton sexing Monica Lewinsky was no-one else’s business? Or like Wayne Rooney and the “hookers”? Like Kathyrn Blair’s private life? Like Gadaffi’s busty nurse? Where does Marr draw the line in freedom of speech?
Marr was shagging away from home, and when the news wanted to seep out he stamped on it. He did this – and get this – to protect his family. Of course, when you cheat and lie in life, it makes your questioning of others who might also be cheating and lying a tad compromised. Are his questions to the elite tainted by self-preservation?
What of this journalist campaigning for less freedom of the press? And note that Marr is a civil servant, earning £600,000 a year as a BBC journalist. You pay his wages.
Many of us knew the rumours about Marr before he came clean. When Guido Fawkes broke the story in 2008, Marr reacted:
“Most citizen journalism strikes me as nothing to do with journalism at all. A lot of bloggers seem to be socially inadequate, pimpled, single, slightly seedy, bald, cauliflower-nosed, young men sitting in their mother’s basements and ranting. They are very angry people. OK – the country is full of very angry people. Many of us are angry people at times. Some of us are angry and drunk. But the so-called citizen journalism is the spewings and rantings of very drunk people late at night.”
Nice, eh? Smug. Elite. Self-serving.
But Marr is OK now. He saw the right way. He saw the right way after Private Eye was ready to publish news on his outrageous behaviour. By coincidence, Marr tells the Mail all about his sex life, making a stand for decency and confessing his sins. Marr is now cleansed.
Anorak wonder if the Mail paid Marr for his sex-‘n’-gag exclusive? If so, will he give any money to the child to pay for their own lawyers..?
