When Samir Nasri Met Gary Cook Things Turned Ugly
SAMIR Nasri is at Manchester City. He’s in the stadium meeting another former Arsenal player on City’s book (there are now six – four current players and scouting Brian Marwood), Patrick Vieira. He then meets Gary Cook, City’s CEO. Cook is 53 years young. He shakes Nasri’s hand, as a gentleman might, and then does a kjnd of twist and palms the Frenchman. Is this an attempt to cement a relationship that is not just about money and business?
Does Cook really believe anything but money counts for anything at Manchester City..?
See if you can hear Cook saying:
“How are you brother?”
Or Nasri saying:
“It is unfair because I think we have more merit as a club than those who have built their teams with millions of pounds whereas Arsenal have brought in young footballers, who have come here to play a certain kind of football and who have developed” – Samir Nasri, April 21, 2010.
