Man Smuggles 12 Birds In His Pants: Little Peckers Survive

HEAR that humm? A Dutch traveller has been found with a dozen live hummingbirds secreted into the inside of his underwear at Rochambeau airport in Cayenne, French Guiana. French customs officer thought the traveller was acting suspiciously and searched him.
The birds are not thought to have been sedated before being immersed in the man’s knickers. Anorak wonders if the combined effects of sweat, musk and methane rendered the birds catatonic.
