Arsenal marketing department flashes media list of Wenger’s targets
DON’T panic Arsenal fans. Get those season ticket renewals in asap. Arsene Wenger has got lots and lots and lots of money to spend. Fact!
Neil Ashton and Sami Mokbel tell Mail readers:
“The Arsenal boss has targeted Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic, Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina, Borussia Dortmund attacker Mario Gotze and midfielders Victor Wanyama of Celtic and Toulouse’s Etienne Capoue.”
Is that all?
The Metro adds:
Arsene Wenger will splash his reputed £70million treasure trove on a new spine for his erratic Arsenal squad in the summer.
The Mirror then pinpoints the targets:
Arsene Wenger will be given a £70million transfer fund by the Arsenal board. Liverpool’s Pepe Reina, midfielders Etienne Capoue and Victor Wanyama of Toulouse and Celtic respectively and Fiorentina forward Stevan Jovetic all on his hit-list.
Where is that list? Who saw it? Did the Mirror and Mail writers see a list. Or was it fed to them by an Arsenal rep, one, you know, looking to keep the fans happy at this crucial time in marketing process?
