The British Sausage Appreciation Society will be launching its 10th Birthday British Sausage Week at the Meat Trades Journal Champion of Champions Sausage Competition on Monday 15th October 2007.
The 10th British Sausage Week annual event launches on Monday 15th October with celebrity sausage fan, Phil Tufnell, setting off on a ten-city tour to find Britain’s Best Birthday Banger.
Phil’s first stop will be as a VIP guest and judge at the MTJ’s Champion of Champions Sausage competition. You are invited to meet Phil, enjoy the ultimate ‘bangers and mash’ lunch and watch award-winning butchers and champion sausage makers from around the UK showcase their sausages in a bid to be crowned Champion of Champions 2008.
British Sausage Week celebrates the taste, quality and variety of the sausage, of which there are some 400 individually named varieties in Britain alone!
