Mike Gravel Pops, Mike Huckabee Heads Mitt Romney, Hillary Clinton And Barack Obama Bore
HE’S nowhere to be seen in the race for the presidency. In fact, he was shut out of the last Democratic debate because his fundraising and poll numbers were so low.
But we’re sure former Alaska senator Mike Gravel would make a mean pop-star president, judging by this campaign video produced by Rx2008 of Sunday Bloody Sunday fame.
Meanwhile, with exactly one month to go to the Iowa caucuses, America’s media is fixated on two races.
On the Republican side, Mike Huckabee continues to make inroads.
The former southern baptist minister is getting stronger every day in Iowa, where he has pulled ahead of former frontrunner Mitt Romney in the polls.
He’s taking flak from some corners of the party for his record of raising taxes while he was governor of Arkansas.
But he’s beginning to emerge as one of the few Republican candidates who might just appeal to Democratic voters when the race opens up next year. Though what they will make of his stance on evolution is anyone’s guess.
On the Democrat side attention has turned to Hillary Clinton, who has vowed to start setting out the differences between herself and Barack Obama.
But this one promises to be a snoozefest.
Although the two candidates differ on just about everything from foreign policy and healthcare to the way the political establishment conducts business, their main difference continues to be that Clinton remains the runaway favorite for the Democratic nomination. While Obama, like his fellow candidates, is failing to mount a serious challenge.
