China Teaches Olympic Class Cheering

HURRAY: “China is organising classes in cheering aimed at preparing Chinese sports fans for the Olympic Games next year.
“For the Chinese government, the Beijing Olympics are a big part of the country’s emergence onto the international stage.
“It wants the games to be perfect – right down to the applause.”
All spectator will be assigned an officil cheer companion who will measure their cheering on a “device”. Those found not to be cheering in the approved manner will be taken from this place and…
