Woman Locked In Cell And Forgotten About
ADRIANA Torres-Flores is in jail. She is in the Washington County Courthouse. The cell measures 8 1/2-by-9 1/2-foot.
She has been arrested on a charge of selling pirated music CDs. She has broken a condition of her bail.
In the cells there is a metal table, two benches and a light bulb that never goes out. She has no food. No water. No toilet.
She is in the cell for four days.
Monday morning and the bailiff appears. Jarrod Hankins unlocks the cell door. He had forgotten about Adriana Torres-Flores.
“He’s a broken man right now,” says Washington County Sheriff Tim Helder.
Says her 14-year-old daughter, Adriana Torres-Diaz, says: “She said she was so thirsty she had to drink her own urine. She was feeling like she was going to die.”
