That the UK press gets much of its insider information on the McCann case from reading “source says” in the Portuguese press is beyond doubt.

If there is an order made which prohibits the British media from reporting on items in the foreign press under the guise of harming Madeleine’s interests, then every tom dick and harry will be trying to repost it on Anorak under ‘freedom of speech banner’ – they may live on the dole in a council flat and be prepared for the contempt of court proceedings, but do you?
