David Suzuki Runs On Diesel
DAVID SUZIKI is an environmentalist. He looks like a cross between David Ballamy, Rolf Harris and Burt Kwouk.
He’s on tour. He’s on the road:
Winnipeg Sun columnist Tom Brodbeck tells us:
I notice David Suzuki himself didn’t “walk the talk” when he did his 40-city, rock star tour of Canada last year.
Remember that one? The chief frog counter driving all over hell’s half-acres in his own private diesel tour bus?
That’s right. Not a train or a hybrid vehicle as his foundation wants everybody else to travel in.
A bus. A diesel bus with a bunch of crew members on board. Not a bio-diesel bus, either. Straight up diesel — no ice …
A bus. In Canada… Best take care!
If politicians should take trains and hybrid vehicles on their tours, why didn’t Suzuki do it on his tour?
Because he’s a hypocrite, that’s why.
If he had set an example by using wagons and rickshaws during his dog-and-pony road show, he’d be in a position to do some lecturing.
But he’s not.
Oh, but he was carbon neutral during that tour, his excited little surrogates exclaim. He offset his carbon emissions with carbon credits. You know, when you invest enough money into methane capturing devices in Bangladesh garbage dumps to supposedly offset your emissions here? … It’s like they never polluted at all.
It’s a bit like those jihadis who says so long as the result is bigger then the man, you can do what you like…
