Fronting Obama On Palin’s Knickers
THE Voice tells Britishers that Sarah Palin is wearing expensive bikinis:
It has “emerged, in this time of economic crisis, that the Republicans went on a $150,000 shopping spree for Sarah Palin”.
Wasting money on your image and looking good. Tsk! As the NY Times notes:
By some estimates, Senator Obama will have spent $250 million on local, cable and network television in just five months, a rate of advertising that outstrips Burger King, Apple and Gap on an annualized basis.
And it dwarfs the $188 million that President Bush spent in 2004.
And in some of those advert he wears the same suit twice. Says Palin:
“This whole thing with the wardrobe, I try to ignore it because it’s so ridiculous. Those clothes, they are not my property, just like the lighting and the staging and everything else the Republican National Committee purchased.”
Not her clothes. She will either hand them back to HQ when the race is over, wear them in office or sell them still warm and possibly unlaundered on a specialist website. Says Serra ‘Naylin’ Paylin:
“I think she probably feels in power by having something sexy on underneath.”
Like a gun belt…
