Shopaholic Crushed To Death By Shopping
RIP Joan Cunnane, 77, crushed as she was beneath 3ft of wrapped goods, amassed over 16 years of dedicated shopping.
Bags piled high in Ms Cunnane’s bungalow. A 2ft-wide path between the edifices.
In the Rover Metro she left behind, candles, umbrellas, a teddy, shears and a foot pump.
Says the Sun:
Twelve police with sniffer dogs took nearly two days to unload her hoard into a giant skip and find her body.
Had only she bought a suit of armour and shelving.
Yesterday, we learnt of the death of Gordon Stewart, 74, who died of thirst after getting lost in his rubbish-packed home.
Is this a craze among the elderly?
