John Prescott’s Chinese Give Away, With Ring Tone

by | 19th, January 2009

HAVING cleared his desk of biscuit wrappers and secretaries, John Prescott trots along to his Hull Chinese restaurant du jour, the Chu China Palace, “the largest Chinese restaurant in the UK”.

And that’s just the menu. As Prezza once said, this is “my favourite restaurant in the whole world”, dedicating his memoirs to it, including between pages 34 and 39 a full menu with take away details and recommendations.

Manager Jimmy Chu is said to be delighted as Prescott agrees to stand by Christine Wei Qin Zhong, 27. It is the moment of her marriage.

Wei’s brother Shan was meant to do the honours but was unable to make the journey from China. So Prezza is delighted to take away Qei Zhin Wong and wish her happy blessedness.

And as the couple are making their vows Prescott’s mobile begins its musical accompaniment, doubtless a blast of “Food Glorious Food”.

Prezza fumbles in his pocket and pulls out not a red leather bra in which is secreted a naughty bag of Monster Munch but his phone, which is shut down.

The civil marriage goes on and then the banquet is served, something you can read about in More, Prescott’s sequel to his first helpings of memoirs.
