Naked Lily Allen Engages Perez Hilton PR
LILY Allen and celebrity blogger and wannabe celebrity Perez Hilton are engaged in a spot of online PR.
The shtick is simple: one party bad mouths the other. The target responds. The PR conducts all.
The row is conducted online where everyone can see it and everyone thinks they are getting the news as it happens. Web traffic go up. Money is made, and Lily Allen becomes a US celebrity.
Such is the Allen rebellion.
Hilton: “Congrats on…doing well in America. It’s REALLY HARD to sell copies when you discount it to $3.99. Desperate.”
Allen: “It’s also No.1 everywhere in the world, douchebag. Go way you little parasite.”
Allen has made a name for herself picking fights with more talented and likeable stars, and thereby elevating her celebrity. She is using an Americanism. Her PR is being handled carefully. Shithead might well be alright for the UK fanbase, but in America douchebag is best. Allen should be “edgy” but the PR wants to get her words read and not censored.
Allen is scheduled to be celebrity on the Oprah Winfrey show, and on that swearing is out.
Hilton then Asks for a role in Allen’s net pop video
Allen: “Oh, I’m sorry, we’ve already cast the jealous and bitter lonely old queen role…”
Hilton: “Jealous of who? David Beckham maybe. And if I wanted to be a fucked up Brit, I’d be Amy Winehouse – who’s got talent.”
Allen: god, you’re like so obsessed with me its embarassing.
Hilton: Aw, u can see I’ve lost weight! I am a littler Perez. But I’m still a big fat c*** – just like U! That’s why I lova ya. xoxo
Hilton: P S Thanks for advertising on my website. I’ll take your money (or the label’s) anytime!
Allen: I know you will, and that’s what makes you a cheap ass whore. Now leave me alone, stop following me, I’m working. Bye x x
Hilton: It’s not fair and I think you’re really mean! You’re supposed to care! It’s not fair and it’s really not ok.
Mike Skinner, aka The Streets, says on his blog: “At least she’s not stalking me anymore.” Mike who?
And on it goes until Allen then reminds us that she is not a celebrity…
