Jade Goody: Shilpa Shetty Prays And The Two-Minute Silence
JADE Goody Live Celebrity Cancer Watch: Worzel Gummidge, Shilpa Shetty Prays And A Two-Minute Silence
DAILY MIRROR (front page): “SAD JADE ALONE ON WEDDING NIGHT”
Jade Goody is a living Worzel Gummidge, the scarecrow of tea-time telly who could change his moods as she changed his head. Look, there’s vile Jade; there’s brave Jade and today here’s sad Jade.
But why is sad Jade alone?
“Police curfew on groom Jack”
A wrong ‘un?
“Distraught Jade” faces a wedding night alone because golf enthusiast Jack Tweed is required under pain of law of being at him mummy’s house by 7pm sharp.
Poor Jade.
A source said: “She’s heartbroken. It’s too much to bear.”
Daily Express (front page): “Smiling Jade is a true fighter”
Smiling Jade has her happy head on in the Express.
And she’s waving as she leaves home yesterday. Is she off to stay at Jack’s mum’s drum?
Jade is getting ready for her wedding day, where she will wear a dress donated by lovable shopkeeper Mohamed Al Fayed.
“And last night Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty…offered her prayers.”
Eyes down…
Indian beauty Shetty, 33, told ITV News: “It’s really sad to know that her health is deteriorating. I really want people to forget the past and I really want them to pray and send her good wishes because that’s something that will give her energy.”
Digital Spy: “Shetty asks public to pray for Goody”
A two minute silence?
“If I was in London I would definitely have been there to show her my solidarity,” Shetty said.
If… Definitely…
Glasgow Daily Record: “Letter: Your View – Money Matters”
WHILE I have every sympathy with Jade Goody, I find it hard to swallow that she is being paid around £800,000 for her wedding pictures to appear in OK! magazine.
Given that she only has months to live, I would like to think her family is more important to her than money.
I know she has said the cash is for her kids, but if it was me, I would rather spend private time with my loved ones before the end came.
Our society seems to be completely obsessed with money, which is a sad state of affairs.

Who is not obsessed with celebrity.
Press Association: “Cervical cancer: Poor more at risk”
Women who live in deprived areas of south east England are more likely to develop cervical cancer, researchers said.
Researchers, eh?
Factors such as smoking and high rates of teenage pregnancy were also found to increase the chances of a woman developing the disease.
Not to mention sniffing glue and staying up late and voting on the X Factor…
The research comes as Jade Goody prepares to go down the aisle for her wedding to fiance Jack Tweed on Sunday. The reality TV star, from Bermondsey, south-east London, has been battling cervical cancer but doctors have told her she is now terminally ill.
Economic Times (India): “I feel honoured by India’s love: Jade Goody”
Jade’s a Slumdog Millionaire.
Her publicist Max Clifford Associates gave a special message from Goody to Indians.
Tune in:
“I think Jade would like to say a big thank you to all the people of India who have sent cards, letters and emails to her in the past few weeks,” said Lucy Heather, Head of PR at the Max Clifford Associates.
“I think”?
“She really feels honoured by the amount of love and support given to her.”
So say the PR.
Daily Mail: “Roof-stunt bishop in line to conduct Jade’s wedding”
Jude Goody may be married by a clergyman who was arrested for allowing his children to be photographed on the roof of his house.
What?
Bishop Jonathan Blake – of the independent London-based Open Episcopal Church – visited Miss Goody and fiance Jack Tweed yesterday at her home in Upshire, Essex.
She’s getting married on the roof?
The Sun: “Princess in pink”
DYING Jade Goody’s bedroom has been decked out in pink – after she said: “Make me feel like a princess” before her wedding on Sunday.
Princess… Jade?
Fiancé Jack Tweed’s mum Mary fulfilled the star’s wish by getting bedcovers and dressing gowns in her favourite colour.
Such are the facts…
