DAY two on the celebrity Celebrity Relief Mount Kilimanjaro climb. And Alesha Dixon “slipped and fell down the mountain.”
It’s Day Two of Comic Relief Does The Celebrity Cull, and Strictly Come Dancing winner emeritus Dixon is falling. The Star looks on.
Dixon has gone to the toilet. She is behind bushes. Sliding. Falling.
Dixon is reaching out. She sees branches. She makes a grab. She gets one.
“The rest of the celebrity climbers… feared she had seriously injured herself as she disappeared from sight.”
Her agent is on the phone. A limp-on part in Casualty? A three-part reality show watching her bruises? A Dixon-fronted campaign for safer mountains – and lifts for the disabled. Why can’t they climb mountains? How can that be right in this day and age?
“She was there one minute and gone the next,” says a crew member. “Everyone was quite concerned.”
Dixon is found. Alive. And then Denise van Outen trips and breaks her “pole”.
And the cull goes on…
