Jade Goody Pays Tribute To Princess Diana
JADE Goody celebrity cancer: Tabloid Bingo with Natasha Richardson and Princess Diana…
Sunday Mirror: ““Find time for your kids now..or regret it later, By Fiona McIntosh”
Natasha Richardson’s death at 45 reminds us all how fragile life is. It could happen to any of us at any time.
It’s something Jade Goody’s mum Jackiey knows only too well as she nurses her girl through the last days, possibly even hours, of her life.
Tabloid Bingo! Eyes down…
My eight-year-old daughter often tests me to see if I’m listening to her: “because you never pay attention, Mum!” she says. She’s right. I’m so busy trying to do three things at once I don’t sit down often enough just to listen to her. How important are those other chores? Not as important as my daughter.
Nothing as important as your daughter, Fiona. She’s the lifeblood of your writing career.
Independent: “Sarah Sands: Grief is the price we pay for love. Every mother dreads that cost – This Mothering Sunday we can identify with the Redgraves and Richardsons”
It’s Sarah Sands calling out the names in Tabloid Bingo!
It is something when the death of an actress, primarily known for her stage performances in Ibsen, Chekhov and a musical derived from a novel by Christopher Isherwood, can knock Jade Goody off the front pages of The Sun and the Daily Mirror.
Bin…
Like [Princess] Diana, Natasha Richardson was the mother of two boys, the younger the same age as Prince Harry when he heard of the fatal car crash. As with Diana, Natasha was part of a famous dynasty and there was a kind of protocol in the decision to fly her brain-dead body back to New York, so that she could lie in state in a hospital bed while family members came to pay their final respects. There was something of a royal sense of obligation within Liam Neeson and Vanessa Redgrave, raw and swollen in grief, moving among the acting fraternity of Broadway, where lights in all the theatres dimmed at eight o’clock last Thursday night…
Actors and Royals. Fact and fiction… Paul Burrell? Surely if anyone is the pumice-like Paul Burrell to Jade’s Diana it is Max Clifford. Jack would be… Dodi?
* She did not become ill to teach the world to have a smear test, any more than Princess Diana died to make sure we belt up in the back.
Fact and fiction:
Liam Neeson had played a widowed father in Love Actually. Vanessa Redgrave had played Joan Didion, who watched her daughter die.
Irish Independent: “A brief guide that could save a loved one in their hour of need – The sudden death of actress Natasha Richardson and Jade Goody’s cancer has highlighted the value of acting fast with illness, writes Dr Ciara Kelly”
