Minnesota Timberwolves And Arsenal Takes On Al Gore
KEVIN McHale coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves, American sports team, reflects on his 40-1 home record with the Boston Celtics in 1985/6:
“Al Gore hadn’t invented the Internet or global warming yet,” McHale said. “If only we’d had Al Gore, we’d have known what we were doing.
“I don’t even know what the hell we were doing back then. We were just playing.”
Tim Blair spots that, and we recalls Arsene Wenger, manager of Arsenal’s Invicibles in 2004, pontificating on his side’s Jose Reyes, who was eyeing move to Real Madrid:
“Despite the global warming, England is still not warm enough for him.”
