Sue Son is one half of Sue Son (surley Sue San? – ed) and Janine Khalil, set to be the world’s greatest ever keyboard-violin partnership since the last ones – only in hotpants and opaque tights! Together they are Addicted.
Says Simon Cowell:
“I think you are both talented musicians, especially you with the violin, but I don’t think the two go together at all. I thought the song was dreary and indulgent and I don’t see where you are going with this.”
Addicted are cured. But – what’s this? – Sue Son is called back to get this from Cowell:
“We think you are really good but none of us think the act is very good. Will you come back to audition on your own tomorrow?”
“Do it!” screams the audience in Birmingham.
And it is done. Sue is now a solo act. Adieu Janet (“Janine!”). Yeah, whatever…
Says Sue of rumours that the pair are now sworn enemies and will cause a schism in the musical word:
“Of course not, we’re still the best of friends.”
She plays Vanessa Mae’s Storm and the crowd goes wild.
Says Amanda Holden:
“I know it was a tough decision to leave your best friend. But that is going to be the best decision you ever made because that was phenomenal.”
Says Amanda who cheated on her showbiz husband Les Dennis when he was at the apogee of his TV fame and now rides high in the world of light entertainment.
And here’s a “show insider” to tell us:
“Yes, they have fallen out. It’s a real shame but hopefully they will make up soon.”
Les Dennis is avialable for panto…
