Sasha Grey Opens Up
SASHA Grey – is billed as “The Dirtiest Girl in the World”.
And now that porn has gone mainstream, Sasha Grey is the subject of a six-page photospread in Rolling Stone magazine.
Writer Vanessa Grigoriadis labels Grey as an “elderly anarchist”, one of a “new breed” of porn stars /women/ sheep.
If anarchists performed like Sasha Grey, the G20 summit would be on after the watershed, and feature such concerned group as “Men For Anarchy”, “Beat The Bankers” and “The Jacqui Smith Enthusiasts”.
Says Sasha Grey:
“I want to tell young women that sex is OK.”
…with Old Mr Anorak, right?
Put that copy of Cosmo down, and that huge phallus you bought at the at-home party and those copies of Mistresses and Desperate Housewives, and know:
“It’s OK to be a slut. You don’t have to be ashamed. People think that young women can’t understand sex, that there will be consequences for our actions, but we can be as analytical as anyone.”
Says our writer:
“Grey’s frankness is appealing, and though she says it a bit too loudly, she has convinced me that she is not a victim.”
Grey is a straight actress, also, and features in Oscar winner Steven Soderbergh’s The Girlfriend Experience.
GFE is five days in the life of an ultra high-end Manhattan call girl who thinks she has her life totally under control. She feels her future is secure because she runs her own business her own way, makes $2000 an hour, and has a devoted boyfriend who accepts her lifestyle. But when your’e in the business of meeting people, you never know who you’re going to meet..
This sounds like the plot for a porn film. But there is little flesh in this film – which means it sounds like a porn film without the porn. Soderbergh has made a 1970s porn, less the rubber plant.
Grigoriadis goes on:
“Even with her star turn in the Soderbergh movie, she hasn’t been able to land a good Hollywood agent, because they’re worried their clients wouldn’t want to be on a list with a porn star.”
Or a not all that good actress who opines:
“As far as I’m concerned, Suicide Girl types with black hair and tattoos are the new blondes with bolt-on tits. Those women look the same, and they’re idiots.”
Do porn fans really care what the women look like, so long as there is one?
Grey was on the Tyra Banks Show, a woman so vaccuous she rattles when she walks:

When the camera would cut to my responses a majority of the time they were showing you a shot of me listening to Tyra’s questions (ie reaction shots)…. so it appeared as if I had nothing to say. Believe me, I had plenty to say. I started out by voicing my thoughts on the negative aspects of this business, I told Tyra she was judging me, I referred to Pasolini, Madonna, and Peaches… “Every edit is a lie”-Jean Luc Godard.
One thing: There are plenty of teenage prostitutes – might it be that at least one of them is getting paid in full and not being exploited by illegality, desperation and depraved men?
