Britain’s Got Talent: Peter Andre Duets With Shaun Smith
NOT too late for Peter Andre to enter Britain’s Got Talent to plug his new single, but he should hurry as Shaun Smith marches on.
The 17-year-old is now second favourite to win Britain’s Got Talent, having given full throat to Bill Withers’ Ain’t No Sunshine. (If Jordan is looking to sing once more, she could do worse than this hit –
Ain’t noooooo sunshiiiiiiiine when Pete’s gowne
Da skiy seems dulllllll when he’s awayyyyyyy
Ain’t no sunssssssshine when heee’s gowne
And he’s alwaaaaaays gowne too long
I misszz his shiiiine night and dayyyyy…
Says Shaun Smith:
“A lot of people said, ‘Why didn’t you go in for The X Factor?’ — but I didn’t think I would win.
“I’d end up being one of the average ones. There’s no way I would have beaten people like Leona Lewis or Alexandra Burke.”
And so the Britain’s Got Talent agonist does his job and builds up the next Simon Cowell pop charabanc that is the X-Factor, the dire, humour void where the panel are the stars and the talent appears before them like a chided schoolchild having his homework appraised.
