Gov. Mark Sanford Aims To Be President
SUPPORTERS of South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford hope that his committment to his loving wife coupled with tales of extra-marital affairs will enhance his chances of becoming US President.
Sam Stein at the Huffington Post recalls Sandford as a long-time admirer of President Bill Clinton, as he was boosted by the Clinton-Lewinsky affair:
This is “very damaging stuff,” Sanford declared at one point, when details of Clinton’s conduct became known. “I think it would be much better for the country and for him personally (to resign)… I come from the business side,” he said. “If you had a chairman or president in the business world facing these allegations, he’d be gone.”
Gone all the way to the very top.
Sanford’s suporters include Larry Craig, Sherri Goforth (and multiply with thyself), Mark Foley, Robert ‘Bob’ Allen and all the gang at Cocodrilo…
