X Factor: Jedward Bottled On Stage
X FACTOR finalists Jedward have cancelled their appearance in Manchester’s Pure club “due to illness”.
In other unrelated news, Jedward have been pelted with a bottle and abuse as they took their Duracell Gonk act to Barnsley’s Escapade nightclub.
The twins flee, not stopping to pick up the bottle marked “broken glass” and gargle with its contents. Rock ‘n’ roll is dead. Says the popstars:
“We’re so disappointed, we didn’t even get to sing Ghostbusters.”
It’s something that disappoints the venue’s manager Bruce Drummond, who would have at least expected Jedward to take a bottle to the head before leaving the stage:
“It was their choice to pull them out which looks bad on us and on the boys. The whole night was handled awkwardly and I’ve complained to the agency because their contract with us was not fulfilled. The twins were brilliant and what happened is no reflection on them.”
Of course, not. If the fans, all under two-years-of-age, throw bottles it is only to be expected. Finally, Anorak has retrieved the bottle and can reveals that it contained a note wrapped up within. It said:
“CATCH!”
