BEFORE her appearance on the X Factor, all Anorak knew of Shakira was that she had crawled through a song called “Whenever Whatever” and had sung the line “Thereover, hereunder”. Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll’s use of English was legendary, only bettered by her Latin as she sang “le ro lo le lo le lo le”. We then spotted Shakira performing during Capital FM’s Jingle Bell Ball at the O2 Arena in London. Forget the X Factor. Shakira has talent:
