X Factor: Dirty Joe McElderry And Stacey Solomon Duets With Amy Winehouse
X Factor Watch: Just a few days to go until the Joe McElderry, Olly Murs and Stacey Solomon begin the gentle slide down the showbiz plughole. And that means there are just a few days to go for actual singers and celebs to remind you what they are alive and working.
Here’s Mitch Winehouse, father to one-album wonder Amy Winehouse telling the viewer of his Showbiz Rant telly show:
“Amy loves Stacey Solomon, especially after that business with her being called a wedding singer. Did you know that the week before last, Amy did a wedding so what is she, she’s a wedding singer as well! So there’s nothing wrong Stacey with being a wedding singer.”
Unless there is something wrong with being a wedding singer and Amy Winehouse can caught the wrongness? And if Mitch patronising Stacey Solomon was not enough, he then talks about his daughter’s sexual preferences. Tasteful stuff:
“She said to me, ‘I love him dad,’ she really likes his looks. He looks a bit like her old ex-boyfriend Alex, funnily enough.”
Yeah, that’s well funny, Mitch. But enough about Amy this and Amy that and Amy howsyerfather, what we want to know is who Mitch wants to win the X Factor. Mitch likes the red-hot favourite Joe McElderry. So that’s all three finalists praised:
“I think he sings like an angel. The thing I like about Joe is, there’s no scandal, there’s no stories, and I think he’s very dignified. What you see is what you get and he’s definitely my tip for the top.”
