Omar Shariff Buys Our 4×4 At The Dubai International Film Festival

ANORAK’S stranded ex-pat drove her huge dusty 4×4 6th to the Dubai International Film Festival – ‘Chaque Jour Est Une Fete’ Screening – at the Madinat Jumeriah resort. There, she abandoned her car in a massive, empty concrete edifice, wrote “FOR SALE” in the windscreen dust and mingled with French film director Alain Monne, Christopher Lambert, an Abdul Hamid Jumaa, Alain Monne, Pierre Forette, a fit Anne Dominique Toussaint and the “delicious” Omar Sharif. Sadly, he didn’t put in an offer on  our reproter’s car nor her home, but he did say he’d think about it. On nights like these, she says, you could be anywhere. Then you see the air moving and a footballer steals your peanuts…
