PA PHOTOS / DPA - UK USE ONLY : A view of the entrance to the former concentration camp Sachsenhausen in Oranienburg, north of Berlin. The inscription on the iron gate reads: 'Arbeit macht frei' (Work makes you free). *..In 1941/42 alone more than 10000 Russian war prisoners had been slaughtered by SS officers in Sachsenhausen. On this year's commemoration day for the victims of the Nazis the resistance of union members was especially commemorated. Three years ago 27 January was chosen as the Annual Holocaust Memorial Day.
