Holocaust survivor David Herman looks through a barbed-wire fence at the former Nazi death-camp of Auschwitz-Birkenau in Poland where he spent part of the Second World War. Mr Herman, a Polish Jew now living in London, was returning to Auschwitz for the 60th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi concentration camp.
