Phil Taylor Beats Simon Whitlock With Walk-On Girls: World Darts In Pictures

PHIL Taylor is the Ladbrokes.com PDC World Championship’s champion, beating Simon Whitlock 7-3 victory. It’s Taylor’s 15th victory. The Power beat the Wizard, despite the winner “looking sick as a chip in cold fat” (words: Sid Waddell) as Whitlock started well. This was an England v Australia, imperial stomach versus a colonial beard not seen since the day Walter Raleigh brought back broken arrows from the New World and fired them into tree stumps. But the winner was darts, as ever it was. Bring on the walk-on girls. Bring on the gladiators:
