So You Think You Can Dance: In Pictures

SO You Think You Can Dance is the BBC push to fill the long minutes between episodes of Strictly Come Dancing with something someone might want to watch. It also finds work for Cat Deeley, who “presents the search for Britain’s favourite dancer.” Arlene Phillips is on the judging panel, a consolation prize for being forcibly retired from SCD. She’s flanked by Nigel Lythgoe (the Popstars judge who pre-dated acerbic Simon Cowell), budget holiday rep Louise Redknapp and Sisco Gomez, which might be a made-up name. Last night’s show featured lots of male dancers avoiding a kick in the face and Hayley Newton and Drew McOnie showing girls that you can get your drunk boyfriend home, or at least out of the gutter:
