THE year works in cycles. January is Big Brother and the start of the search for the winner of Britain’s Got Talent 2010. People with a dream, a sickly relative or a condition have been queuing outside the Opera House in Manchester for the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ auditions. The hunt is on for the novelty cannon-fodder that can happily fill tabloids with teary images of dreams dashed, hopes raised and any talent with decent bone structure and a terrific sob story moulded into a something plastic-coated and able to make money for Cowell Inc..
