Man Arrested In Connection with Keith Blakelock Murder: Broadwater Farm In Pictures
THE Murder of Keith Blakelock in the Tottenham Broadwater Farm riots in 1985 shocked. Cynthia Jarrett, 49, collapsed and died after a police raid on her home. The catalyst for a riot. PC Blackelock was hacked to death. Pc Richard Coombes survived. A 40-year-old man has been arrested over the murder. This would make the man 16 years old at the time of the killing. In 1978, Winston Silcott, Mark Braithwaite and Engin Raghip were convicted of murder. In 1991, the men were released. In pictures:

The rear garden at 16 Willan Road N17, on the Broadwater Farm Estate in north London, which police have started to search, as part of the ongoing inquiry into the murder of PC Keith Blakelock, 40, during riots on the estate in October 1985. The operation follows information that evidence may have been disposed of at the site. Police stressed that the current occupiers moved into the address some years after the murder and do not form any part of the investigation.
