Police Take 27 Minutes To Arrest Man Having Sex In Public
LIONEL Mark William Spratt is at Darwin Magistrates Court, charged with having sex in a Northern Territory garage.
Spratt’s brief, lawyer Matthew Hubber, says that his client had been on drugs all day at Litchfield National Park and was reposeful in the passenger seat of his car. It was then that his friend drove to the BP service station at Adelaide River. The driver, a woman, did leave the car, walk to Spratt’s side and climb in. She then climbed on him. He remains asleep.
Prosecutor Mr Tierney says the attendant hears moaning and sees the woman “moving in ways that gave the impression the pair was having sexual intercourse”.
The attendant calls the police. Police arrive. They ask the couple to stop shagging. The continue shagging. A mere 27 minutes later the police make their arrest.
Spratt pleads guilty to indecent conduct. The police refuse to name what drugs he was on nor where you can get them…
