The Curry Murder: Lakhvir Kaur Singh’s Spurned Recipe

LAKHVIR Kaur Singh murdered her former lover Lakhvinder Cheema and caused grievous bodily harm with intent to Ms Gurjeet Choongh by poisoning their curry with the Indian herb aconite. Mr Cheema had earlier told Singh, married at the time, that their 16-year affair was over. He would marry Choongh. Singh fed them curry. Mr Cheema ate more than Chongh. He went blind. Gurjeet Choongh leaves the Old Bailey in London today, after Lakhvir Singh was found guilty of the murder of her former lover Lakhvinder Cheema, 39, and was also found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm by poisoning his fiancee Gurjeet Choongh.
