RAOUL Thomas Moat is on the run. Police are after him. They want to talk to him about a double shooting in Birtley, Northumbria.

A man who was dating Moat’s ex-lover Samantha Stobbart is dead. Samantha Stobbart, mother to Moat’s daughter Chanel is seriously injured.
The Star says “NORTHUMBRIA BLOODBATH: 2 DEAD”. Because one dead and one on life support is not enough to shock and entertain the readers.
The Express says Chanel is 3. The NoTW says Chanel is 18-months old.
Moat shot them through the lounge window with a hand gun, says an eyewitness on Sky News. The NoTW sees a “sawn-off shotgun”. The NoTW screams:
“EXECUTED.”
But reports indicate the dead man was killed as he rushed out to confront Moat. They say he was carrying a metal bar when he was killed. Is that an exection?

Moat, 37 (Sky) and 38 (NoTW), was released from Durham prison on Thursday. He was inside for assault. Moat is at large, and a police officer has been shot in what Sky News says is an “unprovoked attack”.
Det Supt Howes calm fears:
“I would like to stress that this is not a random attack and that the people involved are all known to each other.”
But Sky says the attack on the policeman was “unprovoked”.

Moat hit the headlines in 2003 when his two-year-old daughter Chantelle from another relationship fell three storeys on to concrete and escaped with bruises.
