Robber Drops Gun In Victim’s Lap – Drop Mobile In Panic
RAYMOND Lewis Shepard, 25, of Daytona Beach, Florida, is our Criminal Mastermind of The Day.
Shepard, along with an accomplice, tried to rob Carol J. Costello, 69, with a gun.
Carol J. Costello is leaving the Walmart store on Beville Road, Daytona, in a car when a black Chevrolet Impala pulls forces her to stop. Shepard brandishes a handgun wrapped in a towel. He tries to smash Costello’s driver’s window.
He fails. He jumps up and punches a hole in the windscreen. The hole is big enough for Shepard’s handgun to fall through, which it does. The gun falls onto Costello’s lap. She grabs the gun and aims it at the suspect.
He gets back in his vehicle and races off – at which point he drops his mobile phone on which there are pictures of the mentally negligible villain.
Police make an arrest.
