Mark Osler Is The Tabloids’ New Raoul Moat – Not Derrick Bird
IT’S not Derrick Bird who’s the benchmark of tabloid killers – it’s Raoul Moat. We read in the Sun that “CRAZED” Mark Osler vowed:
“I’m going to be the next Raoul Moat.”
He then shot himself, having failed to kill his ex-lover, one Rachel Puttock. Osler got a gun and shot Puttock in the temple.
Osler’s wife Paula Packham, from whom he separated in 2006, says he told police Osler was dangerous:
“He told me he was going to be the next Raoul Moat.”
After Derrick Bird’s murderous rampage, the new media brought us this:
* A MAN who threatened to cause damage to his former partner’s home sent her a text saying “answer or we have Derrick Bird back” – referring to the Cumbria shooting tragedy in which a dozen people lost their lives.
Since then, no word on would-be Birds; but the Sun delivers a would-be Moat. The tabloid media is always looking for the next big thing in death…
