JARHEAD, the Florida-based black bear cub in Florida, has had the plastic jar he has kept on his head for 10 days removed.
Why he did, he’s not saying. But a silent protest at plans to build a mosque in place of a Huge Picnic basket at Ground Zero, New York, has not been ruled out. Also his deep love of all things Pooh Bear is a consideration.
Jarhead first wore the jar when he was rooting for food in the town of Weirsdale. The jar was removed when Jarhead’s mother was sedated and the six-month-old cub grabbed. Experts pinned his ears back and prised off the container.
