How A Perfect Playboy Centerfold Is Made: Year Of The Rabbit Photos
PLAYBOY is showing you behind the magic curtain at a Christies’ auction of stills entitled “The Year Of The Rabbit” (phots NSFW). The cultural artefacts are many but the historical value is to be found in the marked-up Playboy centrefolds from the 1990s and early 2000s mounted on card. The girls are less than perfect.
But if they are minced and diced they can fit the mold. Slim, photogenic and available is not enough. For instance, the shot of Lauren Hill (Playmate of the month for February 2001) is given the comment:
“OK but nothing special. There is nothing going on in the face + eyes.”
Stretch marks, less than perfect nipples and veins are all ordered to be changed. Says one notation: “”Kill stretch lines.” And death to broken veins and dandruff!!
