Bob The Builder Arrested For Dogging In Surrey
BOB The Builder is at South West Surrey Magistrates’ Court. It is alleged that he was wearing a yellow hard hat, and not much more, in the lay-by adjacent to the Hog’s Back Café in Puttenham.
Bob, aka Garry High (and what is that but name made for raised eyebrows and sideways eyes?) has alarmed another person at the spot frequented by doggers.
Says prosecuting solicitor Darren Matravers:
“The male was dressed, or undressed, quite eccentrically, wearing a yellow builder’s hard hat and a high-visibility jacket that just covered the top of his thighs. Below, he wore a black leather harness designed to expose his penis. He was also wearing boots.”
A policeman who attended the incident says that Mr High’s hat sported the symbol of a man’s toilet. He also wore a chain around his neck.
Says Mr Matravers:
“He did indicate that he himself has been there on various occasions for what would be described as general sexual purposes. He recognised the male as someone who has attended that area in the past.”
It is alleged that Mr High was seen by the witness touching himself. (It is 1am on August 24 – the very day Mikhail Gorbachev resigned as head of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union in 1991!)
Says Mr Matravers:
“At that time, the defendant tried on numerous occasions to catch my attention by coughing, parading up and down the lay-by.”
Mr High, left court, as he entered it, wearing a werewolf mask.
He pleaded guilty to using threatening words or behaviour to cause distress. He was fined £200.
