Police Shoot Golden Retriever Because It Barked At Them
TO Georgia, where the bastion of law and order has been send by Clayton County to investigator a report of suspicious person. He hears a dog bark. It’s Boomer, a golden retriever owner by 19-year-old Jonathan King and the King family. Boomer is running in the general direction of the officer. Local police chief Lt. Tina Daniel tells us that “the officer commanded the dog to stop, but it did not, so he shot and killed it”.
And had Boomer got beyond the electronic fence about his home he might well have attacked the officer, or licked him.
Say Mr King:
“I really feel like my friend was murdered in my front yard.”
Of course, Boomer and the Kings had a lucky escape. Had that noble cop been a burglar, armed lunatic or dog rapist, it might have gone badly…
