The Streaker’s Great Tackle: Havant & Waterlooville v Dorchester Action

by | 9th, March 2011

STREAKER of The Day is the  the man dressed as Borat who invaded the game between Dorchester Town and Havant and Waterlooville. As with many streakers, he ran on the pitch and then ran out of ideas. Mincing around in circles, the streaker was put out his misery by Dorchester’s Ashley Vickers who tackled him to the ground. he is then sent off.

The chairman of Havant and Waterloovilee offers to reduce his side by one to make the contest fair.

Says Vickors:

“I’m dumbfounded and speechless [not literally, as it turns out]. A guy ran on to the pitch without any of the stewards getting near him and I thought I was doing them a favour. My only thought was to get hold him so we could get on with the game. I managed to grab him and bring him to the ground and the funny thing was the stewards actually thanked me for it. But the ref decided to send me off and it beggars belief.”

Real punishment is keeping the streaker on the pitch.

Here’s a collection of streakers who did it better:
