Loch Lomond Tourists Welcomed To Giro Bay
VISITORS to the Loch Lomond National Park can use the new map and find Giro Bay, Cameron’s Shallows, Archibald’s Abyss and Jessie’s Shallow.
The spots are not known to locals, only to the cartographers and rangers who picked the names, often after themselves.
The maps have been withdrawn.
But were they given enough time to gel? And if all regions are to revert to the original names and ignore the people who adopted them, should America be called Big Horn’s Hole, England Albion and Iran The House of Nuts?
