Jim Davidson’s Black Friends Don’t Sound Like Chalky Any More

by | 14th, March 2011

JIM Davidson is tlaking about racism on Newsnight:

“I think we’ve moved on now. I don’t think racism exists like it did in the 1970s. For instance, I wouldn’t do Chalky now because all my black friends don’t have West Indian accents.”

Cue a roll on the drums…

Comedian Jim Davidson arrives at Norwich County Court. He is being sued for more than 250,000 by a former teacher who claims that she suffered severe back injuries in a fall at an entertainment complex run by the entertainer. Retired deputy head Mary Kyne, 51, of Newcastle upon Tyne, claimed that she slipped and fell while walking on the Wellington Pier Complex in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk in 1999. Mrs Kyne left teaching two years after the incident and claimed to have suffered severe damage to her spine. Mr Davidson was the leaseholder of the pier at the time of the incident -although he no longer runs the complex. The court was told that Mr Davidson denied liability and intended to dispute Mrs Kyne's claim.
