Manchester Council Replaced A Playground With A Wall
NEWSROUND Scoop of the Week is the playground in Shepley Wood Park, Audenshaw, that was falling apart and was replaced by a wall made of bricks. A reader writes:
The local council say there isn’t enough money to replace the old play equipment, and that the wall is for kids to kick a ball against. But children living in the area aren’t impressed.
Hayley’s been to visit what might just be the worst playground EVER!
Says one of the local youths:
“If I wanted a wall I’d have stayed at home.“
