Schoolboy Wears Sisters Skirt To Class In Cambridge
HURRAH for Chris Whitehead, the 12-year-old who goes to Impington Village College, near Cambridge, in his younger sister’s skirt.
He says that being made to wear long trousers is unfair when girls are allowed to wear skirts. It is, says he, “discriminatory“.
He adds:
“Wearing shorts is better because it keeps us cooler, especially at the moment because the weather recently has been really hot.”
Says his Mum Liz:
“I am delighted that Chris is taking action on what he believes in, which the school actually encourages, so he is only doing what he has been taught. I am really proud he is brave enough to wear a skirt to school for what he believes in and back him all the way.”
Hurrah for him. He’s right. But in the spit of compromise, how about the school adopts a tartan pattern on its uniform and keeps everyone happy..?
